Medical Qigong Intensive Programs

 Thank you for your interest in our Masters program. Students interested in the Master of Medical Qigong program may elect to complete the program in 4 years through working in a clinical residency established through our branch  of the International Institute of Medical Qigong .

 The Medical Qigong program follows the outline established in the clinical textbook “Chinese Medical Qigong Therapy: A Comprehensive Clinical Text.” This program is established and maintains the same clinical protocols as established by the Peoples Republic of China (Hai Dian University, Medical Qigong College, Beijing China).

Students who live outside the area may elect to participating in 12 intensive Medical Qigong training programs, which complete the M.M.Q. requirements in a period of only 2.5 years. The Medical Qigong intensive seminars are 5 days long, with reading requirements, oral and practical examinations, and certification given at the end of each seminar. The cost of each intensive seminar is  posted on the Seminar Schedule.


The Medical Qigong Level 1 class begins in October of each year, and the next series of seminars will continue every other month, progressing through December (Level 2), February (Level 3), April (Level 4), June (Level 5), etc.

€ In order to qualify for a Medical Qigong Practitioner (M.Q.P.) certification, the student must complete 4 Medical Qigong Intensive seminars (Levels 1-4), and have acquired a total of 72 clinical hours.

€ In order to qualify for a Medical Qigong Therapist (M.Q.T.) certification, the student must complete 8 Medical Qigong Intensive seminars (Levels 1-8) and have acquired a total of 132 clinical hours.

€ To obtain a Master of Medical Qigong (M.M.Q.) certification, the student must complete the entire contents of all 12 Medical Qigong Intensive seminars (Levels 1-12), have verification of 240 Clinical hours, and have completed all T.C.M. and Western Medicine Requirements.

Currently, there are no prerequisites for qualifying for the various program. All professionals (Medical Doctors, Psychotherapists, Chiropractors, Acupuncturists, Nurses, Massage Therapists and other Qigong practitioners), as well as lay persons are welcome.

Medical Qigong Seminar P1
Introduction to Medical Qigong Therapy

5 days –  32 hours of Lecture and Application

This first seminar is designed to introduce the student to Medical Qigong exercises to maintain health, heal their bodies, calm their minds, and reconnect with their spirit.

Medical Qigong exercises will be taught that help the body correct the physical and energetic imbalances. This strengthens and regulates internal organs, nervous system and immune system, relieves pain, regulates hormones, and strengthens and releases deep-seated emotions and stress.

The course will introduce the student to the basic theories of energy tonification, purgation, and regulation of the body’s organs and energy channels, as well as strengthening the body’s protective energy field (Wei Qi).

  • Respiration, posture, and mental training
  • Emotional detoxification
  • Healing sound therapy
  • Analyzing and categorizing qigong exercises
  • Introduction to medical qigong prescriptions
  • Establish a personal medical qigong workout

Objective

Students will have a basic understanding of the three regulations of medical qigong and be able to properly develop a medical qigong routine.

Medical Qigong Seminar P2
Introduction to Diagnosis and Treatments
5 days – 32 hours of Lecture and Application

This second seminar is designed to introduce the student to the further theories of energy purgation, tonification, regulation and cultivation. In addition, strengthening the body’s protective energy field (Wei Qi) and the techniques used to avoid absorbing Toxic Qi while in a clinical environment will be discussed.

Students are led through a progressive series of advanced Shen Gong (Spirit Skill) meditations and exercises, used to develop advanced intuitive diagnostic skills. Additionally, students will learn the Medical Qigong treatment protocol for treating patients.

Other topics covered in this course will include:

  • Developing Energetic Sensitivity and Perception Skills
  • Energetic Projection Skills
  • Advanced emotional detoxification therapy
  • Yi-Quan meditation exercises to develop focused intention of mind and energy
  • Introduction to clinical energetic diagnostic techniques
  • Introduction to prescriptions and clinical treatments

Objective

Students will develop energetic diagnostic and projection skills with a focus on clinical Qigong therapy and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Emphasis will be placed on the practical clinical applications of Medical Qigong Therapy.

Medical Qigong Seminar P3
Clinical Foundations of Medical Qigong Therapy
5 days – 32 hours of Lecture and Application
 

This third seminar  is designed to offer the student an overview of the major principles and foundational structures that govern Traditional Chinese Medical Qigong.

Other topics covered include:

  • Three levels of Ancient Daoist Mysticism
  • Four Functional Properties of Energy
  • Materializing and Dematerializing Energy
  • Establishing a Medical Qigong Clinic
  • Combining Medical Qigong with Other Healing Modalities
  • Qi Emitting Methods (including Invisible Needle, Energetic Point Therapy, etc.)
  • Internal Organ Prescriptions and Healing Sound Therapy

Objective

Students will have a deeper comprehension of the body’s energetic matrix as it pertains to Traditional Chinese Medicine, Disease, Diagnosis, and the Medical Qigong Clinic. The focus will be placed on integrating clinical qigong modalities, advanced assessment, energetic modulation skills, case studies, and clinical exercises.

Medical Qigong Seminar P4
The Treatment of Organ Diseases and
Medical Qigong Prescription Exercises
5 days – 32 hours of Lecture and Application
 

This fourth course offers the student an overview of the major principles and foundational structures that govern Traditional Chinese Medical Qigong. This course is designed to introduce students to the advanced theories and clinical modalities of internal organ treatment, as well as the Medical Qigong Exercises and Meditations prescribed as homework in the Medical Qigong Clinic.

  • Treatment of Heart diseases
  • Treatment of Spleen diseases
  • Treatment of Stomach diseases
  • Treatment of Lung diseases

Objective

Students will have a deeper comprehension of specific organ diseases as they pertain to Traditional Chinese Medicine, Diagnosis, and Medical Qigong prescriptions. Emphasis will be placed on the practical clinical applications of Chinese Medical Qigong Therapy.

Medical Qigong Seminar T5
Sensory, Intuitive, and Perceptual Diagnosis

5 day – 32-hours of Lecture and Application


This ninth seminar offers the student an overview of the major principles and foundational structures that govern Traditional Chinese Medical Qigong. This course is designed to introduce students to the use of various sensory, intuitive, and perceptual skills used in the Medical Qigong clinic for the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Course content will include:

  • Including Applications of Intuitive and Perceptual Qi Diagnosis
  • Diagnosis Based on Flat Palm Detection (Hand Sensing)
  • Diagnosis Based on Kinesthetic and Empathic Qi Absorption
  • Hand Diagnosis Based on Body Association
  • Diagnosis by Observing Aura Fields
  • Diagnosis Based on Intention
  • Long Distance Medical Qigong Therapy
  • Faith Projection
  • Negative Thought Projections and Medical Qigong Therapy
  • Auxiliary Medical Qigong Healing Modalities

Medical Qigong Seminar T6
Medical Qigong Dao Yin Therapy and Rectifying Qi Deviations
5 days – 32 hours of Lecture and Application
 

This sixth seminar offers the student an overview of the major principles and foundational structures that govern Traditional Chinese Medical Qigong. This course is designed to introduce students to the study of proper Dao Yin training and rectifying qi deviations

Course content will include:

  • The study of the internal principles and Medical Qigong functions of
  • Postural Dao Yin Training,
  • Respiratory Dao Yin Training,
  • Mental Dao Yin Training,
  • Rectifying Qi Deviations Occurring from Improper Qigong Training.
  • Dealing with Psychic Attacks Using Mantras for Protection Encounters with Ghosts & Spirit Entities
  • Treating Demon & Spirit oppression & Possession

Objective

After completing this course, students will have a deeper comprehension of the body’s energetic relationship to the physical structure and mental and emotional disorders and deviations of the psyche.

The Treatment of Pediatrics, Geriatrics, Gynecology,
Neurology and Energetic Psychology

This seventh seminar offers the student an overview of the major principles and foundational structures that govern Traditional Chinese Medical Qigong. This course is designed to introduce specialized clinical treatments in these areas.

Course content will include:

  • Early stages of child growth and development
  • Prescriptions for children
  • Prescriptions for senility
  • Etiology and pathology of gynecological diseases
  • Menstrual complications
  • Treatment protocols for menopause
  • Stroke (Wind-Stroke)
  • Coma
  • Facial paralysis (Bells Palsy)
  • Multiple sclerosis (MS)
  • Self treatment prescriptions for psycho-emotional disorders
  • Treating emotional anxieties, phobias, and addictions
  • Treating phobias and depression using the “Windows of the Sky” points

Objective

Students will have an exposure to specialized clinical treatments of physical illness and the management of the patient’s emotional, mental and spiritual states.

Medical Qigong Seminar T8
Introduction to Treatment of Cancer with Medical Qigong Therapy (1)
5 days – 32 hours of Lecture and Application
 

This eighth seminar offers the student an overview of the major principles and foundational structures that govern Traditional Chinese Medical Qigong. This course is designed to introduce students to the study of the treatment of various types of cancers and tumor formations.

Course content will include:

  • Etiology and Pathology of Cyst, Tumor and Cancer Formation
  • The Multifaceted Causes of Cyst, Tumor and Cancer Formations
  • Categorization of Cysts and Tumors According to Traditional Chinese Medicine
  • Medical Qigong Approach to Cancer Prescriptions
  • Emission Therapy for the treatment of Brain Tumors, Breast Cysts Tumors and Cancer, Uterine Tumors and Cancer, Cervical Cancer, Ovarian Cysts, Prostate Cancer, Lung Cancer, and Colon and Rectal Cancer.

This fifth seminar offers the student an overview of the major principles and foundational structures that govern Traditional Chinese Medical Qigong. This course is designed to introduce students to the Study of the Daoist Three Outer Forces (Heaven, Earth, and Man)

Course content will include:

  • The Influences of Energy, Food and Diet on the Human Body
  • Prenatal and Postnatal Jing, Qi and Shen
  • The Body’s Energetic Internal Structures
  • The Five Spiritual Aspects of the 5 Yin Organs
  • Advanced Shengong Cultivation Methods
  • The 6 Transportation’s of Shen
  • The 8 Supernatural Powers
  • Soul Projection, Spirit Projection and Energy Projection.

The Treatment of Cancer with Medical Qigong Therapy (2)

5 days 32-hours of Lecture and Application  

This eleventh seminar offers the student an overview of the major principles and foundational structures that govern Traditional Chinese Medical Qigong. This course is designed to further the students understanding of to the study of the treatment of various types of cancers and tumor formations.

Course content will include:

  • Emission Therapy for the treatment of bone cancer, myeloma, leukemia, lymphoma, and skin cancer
  • Radiation and chemotherapy
  • Medical Qigong and surgery
  • Diet and nutrition
  • Social Oncology

Medical Qigong Treatment of Spiritual Disorders

This twelfth seminar offers the student an overview of the major principles and foundational structures that govern Traditional Chinese Medical Qigong. This course is designed to introduce students to Chinese spiritual dimensions and clinical interactions with the spirit world.

Course content will include:

  • Sorcery and Psychic Attacks
  • Defending Against Psychic Attacks
  • Encounters with Ghosts and Spirit Entities
  • Dealing with Demonic and Evil Spirit Oppression and Possession

Objective

Students will have an exposure to specialized clinical treatments of spirit and demon oppression and possession.

Medical Qigong Seminar M13
Clinical Theatre, Internship, and Final Examination

5 days – 32-hours of Lecture and Application

This seminar offers the student exposure and first hand experience of medical qigong diagnoses and treatments. The student will study and experience different aspects of energetic dysfunctions and symptom manifestations. The instructor will guide and assist the student in all phases of diagnosis and treatment. 

Course content will include:

  • Integrating advanced clinical modalities
  • Advanced diagnosis and advanced energetic modulation skills
  • Exploring case studies

At the completion of this course if the student has successfully completed all requirements for the Master of Medical Qigong certificate program, an MMQ certificate will be issued at that time.

Objective

Students will be confident in diagnosing and treating patients, as well as creating and maintaining accurate clinical records.

Prerequisite: All required seminars for MQP (P1 – P4);

MQT (T5 – T8); and MMQ (M9 – M12)
